Vaporshark has taken the unbelievably precise and efficient Evolv DNA40d temp control chipset and custom fit it inside an in-house produced, ergonomically superior chassis that ships with a recommended Brillipower 40A 18650 battery and features side-mount micro-usb passthrough zip charging, wireless charging technology, precision-machined fittings, and powder coat matte fit and finish. The result is the Vaporshark rDNA 40, a temperature control mod that’s as rock-solid as you can buy anywhere.
Many, many vape manufacturers now offer “temp. control” mods, but the difference between those mods and the rDNA 40 is the difference between a cleaver and a scalpel. The rDNA is designed for vapers who want exact control over every variable of their vape, and for vapers who will not settle for inconsistent performance from a regulated board. The investment you make in the Vaporshark rDNA 40 rewards you with precision, power and clean efficiency from any number of high drain 18650 batteries. Tolerances on the rDNA 40 are razor-thin; from the pleasing pop of the fitted metal buttons to the satisfying snap of the magnetized battery door, you’re going to see and feel the quality every time you pick this mod up and vape it.

What's up everybody? Dustin from My Freedom Smokes here to talk about the Vaporshark rDNA 40 box mod. This thing's pretty cool. It better be pretty cool, it's a very high quality product. This thing right here is probably one of the most high quality products I've used in a very long time coming to this shop. You're asking me probably, oh so what's the big deal about this product? It's only 40 watts. Why is it up there in price point with some of the higher wattage box mods? I've got to tell you right now, there's two things that make this a high end box mod.
One, is that evolve DNA 40 chip inside here. Second, it's just the craftsmanship of this device. This is one of the best feeling, most comfortable, sleekest, nicest, most well built box mods I've touched, of a mass produced box mod, aside from some very fancy hand-crafted box mods I've played with. Out of the mass produced, factory box mods I've used, this definitely probably takes the cake up there with the Snow Wolf in terms of quality. The hand feel, if you want to call it something, the hand feel, how comfortable this is in your hand. Quality of the moving pieces, the buttons, switches, levers, do-hickeys, all that on there. Just the battery door on here is a quality battery door. Things like that, just the craftsmanship. This batter door does not feel cheap. Texturized, sleek, you know, texturized in the bumps to get it all very sleek everywhere else. Just comfortable.
That's all well and good, how it feels in your hand, but the internals, the guts, the workings, the clockwork of this thing also sets it apart. That chip, it's fantastic. You try to get into temperature control like most people seem to be nowadays since temperature control is blowing up but you really can't just jump right in with both feet and get into temperature control. This is actually one of those box mods where you can jump in, both feet, get out and jump back in. It's pretty great. All you have to do is just take your temperature control tank, with a temperature control coil, be it nickel or whatever ... I believe this is only set up for nickel so I would not try titanium or anything like that ... I can confirm it does work with nickel. You just put your tank on there, screw it on and set your wattage, set your max temperature following all of the settings that you need to do, blah, blah, blah, set it at 400 degrees which is what I like, throw it on there and you hit it. It starts working temperature control. It's auto-detect, very similar to the Pegasus from the Odessey box mod kits.
It's idiot proof. If you're an idiot like me, maybe that's why I like it so much because I can't screw it up. All my other fellow idiots out there, we've got a box mod for you. Not cheap but definitely worth it in my opinion. It's only 40 watts compared to some of the box mods that are same price point. They come there, 150, 100 watts temperature control but they all just don't have that build quality like this.
This is one of the safest box mods you're going to use with all of the short circuit protection, the reverse polarity protection in this thing. If you put your battery in here upside down, the device will not work. It will actually beep at you until you fix the problem. That's pretty cool. What box mod actively tells you that there's something wrong and lets you know ahead of time with an audible cue that you need to fix this? Most things, you just put it on there and it's like why does it say that, it just says shortage? What does shortage mean? There's not a short, this works on something else. They give you a blanket term, it's just uh-oh, screwing up. This thing actually lets you know on the screen and with audible cues what's wrong with the device. That's pretty cool in my opinion.
Another thing that's pretty neat, I'm a left handed vapor and I'm not a left handed person so most people in the world ... I would guess most, I'm just throwing out numbers with some fake bro science right there ... most people that I've met are right handed so a lot of devices made are for right handed dominant people. When you hold something in your left hand the way that you would have the button, their screen is flipped. You can actually reverse and flip the screen on the bottom here, screen is on the bottom, so flip it the other direction so depending on your dominant hand or whatever you want, it's not inconvenient to just peek at the device and look at the screen and see what the wattage is, the settings, battery life all that, without having to go through awkward, weird hand things.
It's little things like that. I call it the peace of mind that you really don't have to think about that make a big deal. You probably would never think oh, I've got to flip this thing over until you are in a situation where you're constantly having to flip it over and be conscious of that. That's kind of annoying. With this, man, you can just flip your screen over whenever you want and it's no hassle anymore.
Battery life on this thing, crazy ridiculous. You're probably going to get an all day life out of this even though it's only a single 186 battery which it does come with. They say that you're going to get an all day charge out of this. If you don't, the way this thing charges it says it has zip charging. It claims that it charges 2.3 times faster than all of the other Vapor Sharp models. They say that from zero to full charge, it takes about an hour and a half. That's pretty quick for a device. If you're not draining the battery to 0%, throw this thing on a wireless charger, because it does have built in wireless capability, if you have a wireless charger around your house that you use on your phone or your other electronics, you can throw this thing on top of it and charge it wirelessly with zip charging. In an hour and a half you'll have a full battery. That's pretty crazy. Big fan of that. I've used the wireless charging. I've used the regular charging and, as claimed, it's worked pretty quickly for me.
Big fan of this device. No rattling, no wiggling buttons which is something a lot of people that know me, it's one of the first things I point out on a device. When I get a device and it feels cheap, I start shaking it and you can see the buttons physically rattling inside, that really bothers me. I always point that out to people. Nothing on this. None of the moving parts, for example, buttons or the battery door. Nothing mechanical on this thing feels cheap or like it's going to break after a few uses. It's a very high-end box mod. It's definitely ... We really pushed it around here to bring this thing in.
Other inexpensive mods do the same thing but they do not do the same thing as well. Yes, you can buy a cheap car for $500 and drive it or you can buy a very nice car for $6,500 to $100,000 and drive it but you're going to get a better experience out of the nicer product which definitely shows in this thing. You can get you a nice thick 40 watt and vape at 40 watts but you're not going to get the accuracy or any of the awesome benefits, bells and whistles that this thing seems to offer.
I'm definitely going to be playing with this thing a little bit more and I'm probably going to work it into my daily carry. I look forward to playing with this thing so I hope you guys enjoy it. If you get one, let us know what you think about it. Shoot us a review. Throw a video up and let us know how you guys feel about this product. If we should start bringing in more higher end products. If this does well, we'll start bringing it in. Have a more broad selection of higher end things. Just let us know guys.
Dustin from My Freedom Smokes. Thank you for vaping.
