The mighty Snow Wolf is a heavy duty box mod that is powerful enough to push 200 watts on your standard or temp control build, and smart enough to know the difference between the two. The Wolf's 35 amp GX200 smart chip with temp control sensing will automatically prompt you to enter temp control mode when it senses a low-resistance nickel or titanium build on its floating 510-threaded terminal, and it will drop out of temp mode and enter wattage mode whenever a Kanthal or other standard coil is sensed.

But the Snow Wolf is more than a big wattage heavy hitter. It's a future-proof mod that repays your investment in it by providing all the features and power vapers will be clamoring for in the next couple of years. For example, the Wolf uses pulse frequency modulation on any setting above 150 Watts to ensure a minimum of voltage drop as power demands are placed on the high drain batteries. Moreover, the huge, pulse-regulated power the Wolf can deliver to a Kanthal build is also extremely relevant to temp control builds, as those ultra-low resistance coils need high, supremely regulated power to heat to the set temperature and stay at the set temperature throughout the vape. This is key: Temp control is best with big power!

To get the most out of your Wolf, a pair of married, high drain 18650 batteries (like the Sony VTC4s, here) is a must. Alex: Hey guys what's going on? This is Alex.
Dustin: And I'm Dustin
Alex: We're at My Freedom Smokes and today we're going to do another head-to-head with some of the most popular temperature control mods. My personal favorite out of the temperature controls is going to be the Sigelei 150. Sigelei was one of the first box mods I ever got. I had the original 100 watt when it came out and I fell in love. Sigelei has yet to stop impressing me. I love the design. I love that they're including these little milky cases to go with it because I drop stuff all the time. All the time, I really do. It really helps keep this wonderful mod looking beautiful.
Dustin: I have the Snow Wolf 200 watt box right here in this lovely champagne color. Been my favorite since the day I got it in as a sample. I've loved it ever since. Quality about this thing is outstanding. I love how once you push the button it fires instantly, it fires hot. It seems to be pretty accurate. I really don't have anything negative to say about this. Biggest negative on here is how sleek and shiny it is. It just holds fingerprints. Other then that you might want to be a little bit careful with it because it feels similar to an iPhone with the craftsmanship and the edge and stuff like that. It's a weird feeling. You just don't want to drop it that's the only thing. By far my personal favorite device out of these three.
Alex: Talking about the sleekness, I guess one thing that the Segelei would have over the Snow Wolf is the fact that when you take this little case off you have a nice black matte finish on it.
Dustin: I like that texture.
Alex: I really do to and that's probably the reason I really like this is even though you are going to get fingerprints on it, with just a quick little wipe those are going to quickly go away.
The one thing I really do like about yours is the fact that it's got a little bit more heaviness to it. This ones going to be a little lighter. Even though I do like the design, it is kind of counter intuitive to a bit. It does feel a little bit more cumbersome in my hand. I may not have the smallest hands in the world but my hands are not too big. When I put this in it's a little big for my taste, but a lot of people like the really bigger box mods. Honestly this is my only downfall with this one is the fact of how big it is.
Dustin: This thing is pretty tiny. It is thick. About and inch and some change. It's pretty thick. It's really heavy. It's pretty solid. It's heavier then a phone. I just like it because it's as small as a phone. It does fit in your pocket well even though it is incredibly thick. You will feel it in your pocket as your walking. That's why I got a little clip on it here, so it's not jangling around on my thigh.
Alex: That's actually some of the new eclyps. That's e-c-l-y-p-s. We're going to be carrying that on the website very soon we just placed an order for it. You got a quick little sneak peak. It's really cool. Trust me we'll do a really good video on it.
Dustin: Guys they work. They fit snugly to you hip. You'll see a video on this. We'll do some tests on it.
Alex: With yours, how many different modes does yours come with?
Dustin: Temperature control. It does titanium wire. Let me make sure it does steel wire. Does you know if it does steel wire?
Alex: I don't think it does.
Dustin: I think it does titanium wire and wattage mode. So it's 200 watts and then you got your regular temperature control up to 600 degrees I believe off the top of my head. I'm actually not sure, I will figure that out. We'll put that in the description.
Alex: With mine I do have a couple ...
Dustin: 662 degrees.
Alex: There we go. Using my little cheat sheet on the back here, too. The one thing that probably sets the Segelei apart from any of the others is you can edit the jewels. Not only can you do your auto jewel setting, if there's something that's not quite hitting right and you feel like you can edit it some you can go in here and edit your jewels.
You can actually do temp control, jewel mode, power mode, and I believe that you actually can do the titanium coils and the nickel coil. I think the only thing this one doesn't report is the steel coil. I think with this one you have a little more versatility. You are trading out a little bit more quality with the Snow Wolf.
Dustin: This thing fire up to 200 watts which is where it's going to shine. It fires pretty low. I think it goes down to 0.5, and that's because it is a temperature controlled device. Temperature controlled coils do read lower. Right now I have a 0.23 on this thing and running at 50 watts it heats up quick. Now it's popping out overfilled. It heats up quick. The moment you hit the button the thing starts firing. There's no delay time like on some boxes where it kicks in real quick. This thing, the moment you hit the button it's ready to bake instantly. I really appreciate that with this.
Alex: With this one I can't tell. There's a little bit of a delay. Pressing it it sounds like there's a half a second delay after pressing it. If that does bother you that could be something that really doesn't work.
Going down the line with these, just a quick overview. This one maxes out at 150, this one maxes out at 165, and as he said this one maxes out at 200 watts. The reason this IPV is here is I really feel that this is the good bridging gap between the two devices. It's going to be a little bit thinner. It still takes two 18650's along with these. You do have a touch sensor at the very top. It kind of works like a touch sensor. You just tap it and you can start vaping. You can turn that mode off in here though if you're worried about pulling it out of your pocket and you touching it.
Dustin: It is useful especially if you're using it as a desk vapor. It's really cool. You think they won't use it, but once you've had a device like that ... I've tried the old IPV's that first implemented the touch and it was pretty useful even on those older devices. I can imagine it's still pretty useful on these newer devices, too.
Alex: It is. Especially, you don't need to be dripping while your driving, but if your using a tank this could also be useful that way all you got to do is pick it up and you don't have to search for a button you just rest your thumb on top and take a hit. That could be one extra little safety feature.
Battery case just slides right out like that, like most others. This one kind of pops out to the side, and yours ...
Dustin: Has a little clip back here and it's magnetized. You just stick your fingernail underneath there and just pop it out like normal. Two magnets, a magnet on the top and on the bottom. When you're done you just click it back in place. None of that friction fit or sliding it's just a snap in magnet back. Pretty strong magnet back, too. It's got a good grip.
Alex: You just can't take it off right now.
Dustin: Because I've got the clip on, but it will. It does snap back pretty quick.
Alex: I guess overall is all three of these are going to be fantastic products especially trying to get in to your temperature control vaping world. I'm not too well versed in it yet, but he is. Working with these kind of devices I'm starting to understand it a bit better. Take it from me, someone who deals with it everyday, it's going to be confusing. With these sorts of mods it's going to kind of help you take the right steps in the right direction to get you vaping in version three of vaping now. Or it would be four because we had cigalikes, egos, mechanical, and now temperature control.
Using these mods is going to help you going into phase four of this wild vaping journey we've become.
Dustin: Stay tuned for phase five: virtual reality vaping.
Alex: All right guys, we've had some fun. Again this is Alex.
Dustin: And I'm Dustin.
Alex: We're My Freedom Smokes and if you have any questions always feel free to leave a comment. Blow and be a community. Until next time see ya.
Dustin: Thank you for vaping.
Alex: Thank you for vaping.
