Making your own e-liquid could be a good idea if you're using the right flavors. Everyone who's vaping has already found out that it's a great alternative to smoking, but that doesn'mean that each flavor's going to work well. Some flavor concentrates are stronger than others, and you don't want to use anything that won't translate well to vapor.

Flavors To Avoid

You cannot use any flavors that involve any kind of alcohol. Some kinds of alcohol are great concentrates, but these flavors aren't going to translate well as you'll smell the alcohol burning off just as much as the flavor. This can be distracting, and you might even feel like you are vaping from a perfume bottle.

Fruit Flavors

Concentrates from fruits are usually pretty light, and you can pick concentrates that are going to taste really nice. The most common concentrates will work well, but you need to make sure that there is nothing else in the concentrate. You don't want to go too far afield so that you're not getting any of the other chemicals while you're vaping.

Heavy Flavors

Some heavy flavors are going to be almost too strong to use because you'll not be able to get past the smell. You don't want to feel like you are knocking yourself out with your vapor, and you need to make sure that you're not going with something that you know's going to be overpowering. You must use your own best judgement, and you need to make sure that you're going to be happy with the flavors you picked.

Mixing

You can mix flavor as long as they dilute each other a little. The vapor's going to smell of both flavors if you've mixed them properly, but you want to make sure that you get the flavors balanced before you use them. Something that's out of balance is going to be a little weird to vape, but something that's balanced is going to be just as fun as drinking a juice mix.

The best part of vaping is that you've many other options than what you can buy at the store. You can use concentrates, but you need to make sure that you are using the right flavors. Avoid anything heavy, and pick concentrates that don't have alcohol for best results.
