Vaping has become an increasingly popular alternative to smoking. Just in the last 5 years, the knowledge and use of vaping has increased dramatically. It’s not a singular, unique experience; there are many different types of e-cigarettes, vaporizers, Mods, and e-liquids (which we’re be covering today), all with a different experience to go along with it. These differences are usually seen between those who have just begun vaping, and their expert counterparts.

Vapes run off of e-liquid, bottles of fluid which fuel the vape and produce clouds of vapor that mimic that of a cigarette, cigar or other smoking apparatus. These liquids have three main components to them, an agent that produces the smoke, flavoring, and nicotine. You can purchase almost any flavor you could imagine of e-liquid as there is an enormous selection to choose from. More important than the flavor is the amount of nicotine present in a bottle of e-liquid. Each bottle of e-liquid is predetermined to carry a certain amount of nicotine. You can purchase e-liquid with almost any amount of nicotine you desire, however standard measures are 2mg/ml, 3mg/ml, 6mg/ml, 8mg, 12mg/ml, or 18mg/ml. You can also purchase e-liquid with 0mg/ml for a nicotine free smoking experience. Heavy smokers usually use e-liquid around the 12mg/ml range, while moderate to light smokers usually like to stay below 8mg/ml of nicotine. Newcomers to vaping who do not smoke traditionally stick with a nicotine free e-liquid to enjoy.

Along with the e-liquid, the vape itself also has different levels. Not every vape is the same, or even closely related at times. Standard vapes and e-cigs are usually made up of three parts, the battery, the tank, and the atomizer. You can also purchase higher quality vapes that operate slightly different. Rather than refilling a tank, you could also purchase mods to your vape which allow you to drip the e-liquid onto a wick or cotton atomizer build which produces better results. You can also purchase larger tanks, stronger batteries, mouthpieces, build materials, and atomizers. Higher quality custom vapes are usually saved for experiences smokers who are willing to put in the extra money for a large, rich cloud of smoke. However for the casual vaper, a basic vape will fully fulfill your needs.
